Teaching

Jessica is currently the clarsach instructor at the Junior Conservatoire delivering lessons every Saturday during term time. She also teaches clarsach for The Glasgow Academy as well as regularly delivering traditional youth music workshops as a tutor with Feis Rois throughout Dumfries and Galloway. In the past Jessica has enjoyed teaching at residential weeks including Feis Rois and The Gordon Gaitherin.

Jessica is a highly experienced and dedicated clarsach teacher, and has many pupils in the Glasgow area. During her final year at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, Jessica devoted a great deal of time researching current teaching methods for her dissertation. She also studied techniques of teaching as part of her honours degree. Jessica has completed the NSPCC course in Child Protection Awareness.

Fully disclosed, Jessica offers private clarsach lessons from her home in the west end of Glasgow. Lessons are catered towards each individuals specific needs, interests and abilities. Her students have enjoyed success in The Royal National Mod, Traditional Music Graded Exams, as well as SQA exams. For more information about lessons please contact Jessica.
